We have a new little girl in our family. We're slowly even'in out the gender fields. Ha! Meet Lady:
She's half German Shepherd, half Rottweiler (possibly)...she's a mut and just PRESH! We adopted her from the animal shelter last weekend and just love her so much! Punk really needed a friend and they're BFF's already.
We also picked up our new kitchen table last weekend. Jeremy's friend made it for us and I LOVE it. He's super-talented and we're lucky that we only had to pay for the materials. Now we just need to find some chairs to match. :)
Lady is a little DIVA!!! She's 2 1/2 months old and probably won't get very big. She still sleeps a lot and loves to be held. Her paws are still tiny. We got her a pink collar with a zebra tag so she's stylin'.
We took the boys to see the AVENGERS in 3D today. LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie. I guess I'm a nerd because I have seriously enjoyed all the Marvel movies over the years. This one is HI-Larious!

Let's Start Bicycling
I use this blog mainly so that everyone can see the boys grow, but also to document certain milestones and I don't want to forget this. Our conversation from tonight...
Me: So Houston tell me what you learned at school today?
Houston: We learned that we're wasting our water and that the world is starting to fill up with trash and that we need to start bicycling.
Me: You mean recycling.
Houston: Yeah, recycling. So we need to start smashing our coke cans for money.
Me: That's awesome Houston. What about you Austin? What did you learn today?
Austin: I learned a whole bunch of crap I'll never use in life.
Ha! Oh to have the innocence of a child again...
In other news, our neighbors on the other side had a HUGE crawfish boil at their house this weekend. About 10 or 12 families from our neighborhood were there and it was so nice to meet more people.
We had a blast. Apparently this neighborhood is very close (which we love) and someone is always having some type of neighborhood party. Score! I knew Jeremy picked a good place for the boys to grow up.
They had an awesome karaoke set-up at this party and I'll admit it, we sang our little hearts out. We pretty much bit it, but at least we had fun.

Soakin' Up The Sun
My neighbor and I loaded up our kids (and a few other neighbor kids) yesterday and took them to this awesome "water park" about 15-20 minutes away.
I say "water park" loosely because the place is called "Cecil's Backyard" and it is literally Cecil's backyard. Ha!
I wish I had more land because this is a money-making pit! He basically just dug a HUGE hole in his yard, filled it with water, threw is a few AWESOME slides and other contraptions and Wa-la! Easy Peasy!
The boys had a blast. I can't wait until the Summer. The water was still a little chilly at first but we eventually were too numb to notice. Ha.
The kids were able to swing off of ropes into the water....I didn't attempt to see how deep the water was but I couldn't touch the bottom. I have a fear of creatures at the bottom of lakes even though I knew they treat the water so there won't be any fish or other animals but I wasn't about to test my fears there.
They had a floating trampoline too. The little guys loved that. The big ones liked to swim underneath it and scare them to death.
I love that is was sooo laid back and not a care in the world about how anyone looked in a bathing suit. Definately my kind of place.
They also had hand gliding and this AWESOME big slide with a HUGE drop off. None of our crew would attempt that. Oh, to be young again and still a dare-devil. Sign me up!
They had it somewhat divided so that there was area for little ones which made it all the more better. It's hard enough keeping up with Houston without big kids getting in my way. :)
It was a little bit red-neckish, but totally right up our alley. Ha! We can't wait to back.

Craw Fish, Campires, and Cowboys...
It can't get much better than that. We absolutely love our new neighborhood. We have a craw fish shack about a mile down the road, we have the best neighbors, and we just love having our own space again.
Jeremy's shop has been a blessing for entertainment purposes so far. We had our neighbors and some friends over last weekend when Jeremy's parent's were in town and it was just nice hanging out. We love that there are so many kids around and our next door neighbor's boys are 7 and 13 so Austin and Houston are in heaven!
We've decided we're gonna put a brick fire pit in our backyard. Everyone loves just sitting around listening to music and the kids especially loves the SM'ORES! This is Houston with his new BFF Jackson. Life can't get much better when your best friend lives right next door. :) I love it.

More Decorating Photos...
Here's a glance at a few more or our decorative touches in the house. Some of the photos are laying down and because of my computer illiteracy, I can't figure out how to flip them...:)
First, our master bedroom lamps. I found the lamps on clearance at Wal-Mart a few years back for $3. I'm pretty sure I bought the shades there too. I added a feather boa attached a few crosses with magnets and wal-la! LOVE. I saw something similar on Pinterest and I just had to have it. Jeremy says all we need now are some strobe lights and a stripper pole but I think they are CUTE.
This photo is a little blurry but it's our master bathroom above the bathtub. I'm in love with that cross. Of course it came from Hobby Lobby.
I was slacking on my job when Jeremy was hanging the vinyl and I let him get a little crooked. Oh well, I still love it. That quote warms my heart. "Everyday hold a possibility of a miracle."
I finally added some color to the floral arrangement in the master bathroom. I love the blue and green colors and they match perfectly to the towels.
I did a little shopping this week and picked up the fabulous floral arrangement for the kitchen island. It hurt my heart a little to spend so much but I it looks amazing. I bought some cute ribbon to make a HUGE bow for it and I plan on hitting up Hobby Lobby for their next floral stem sale to add a little color to it. :)
I swear Hobby Lobby gets new crosses 2-3 times a week. I hit the jack pot with this cross. It matches perfectly with the kitchen decor and it's BEAUTIFUL!!! All we need is our kitchen table and then I can finish decorating the kitchen. Jeremy's friend started making our table this week and I can't wait to see the finished product.
A shot of our master bedroom. I love the colors. Jeremy HATES the bedding but of well. Our next big purchase is a new bedroom suit for us. I can't wait to be Sauder-Free. We definitely want to go with a darker brown finish.
I absolutely ADORE Houston's bedding. It took me forever and a day to find something I liked that was non-themed. We're not doing themed rooms anymore! I bought that cute little lamp at Target and love it. I still need to find some cute wall decor but it's hard when everything is so theme-based.
Houston's dresser. We bought Austin the exact same set for his room. His furniture was black and his bedding is mostly black so I'm still on the look out for some new bedding for him. It took me about 8 months with Houston so I still have some time. Ha!
Another shot of the boys bathroom. I pretty much bought every single cute (non-plain) frame Hobby Lobby makes and saturated my house with them. For the longest time I kept the photos that came with them in and finally Jeremy was like "I really like all these frames but can we put pictures of people we know in them." Ha!
Above the boy's toilet. Another built-in that Jeremy's friend made us. The boys (and Jeremy) don't understand the point of "decorative towels". Ha!
Our mud room feature. This is probably my favorite thing in the whole house. I love that the boys have a place to drop everything when they get home. We thought we had told the painters to go with the lighter green but it still looks cute.
More to come later...

So Random...
Houston had another crazy day at school. This one was to raise money for United Way. Each day they brought a donation they would get to participate in that day's event. They had crazy day, hat day and flip-flop day. Of course we had to HAWK it out for crazy day!
Then the boys got arrested...on Jeremy's watch of course. Ha! They look pretty mean. I'm not sure I would want to mess with them. :)

Lunchin' It Up
Mr. Houston was super duper excited when MiMi and PaPa came to eat lunch with him yesterday. He grinned from ear-to-ear the ENTIRE time! Love that sweet smile.
Of course he wanted McDonald's. I thought we might have trouble leaving him but he didn't flip out about staying like I had expected him to.
I was off yesterday and was able to go with them so he was literally floating on cloud nine. I love that the little things still excite him. Oh to be young again...
It makes me sad that Austin already feels too old for these visits. I think I might embarrass him a little bit. I have no clue why though. Ha!
I think Houston loves all the extra attention too. He keeps asking when we can all eat lunch with him again.
Jeremy and I try to go every so often but we're almost done with the school year and I can't believe it.
In one short month, our baby will graduate Kindergarten. My how this year has flown by!
