Here's a few more photos of the new house. This first one is of our front porch. Can I just tell you how much I'm in love with it. Since before we were even married I'll we've ever talked about wanting for our houses is a HUGE front porch and now we're getting it. God is truly AMAZING!!!
Here's a snapshot of our fireplace and mantle. I took pictures of EVERY room but really it just looks like a bunch of 2x4's! I can't wait to see how it all looks when we have walls!!!
And lastly, this picture was taken from the street. We're still debating on whether to have a circular drive or not. I think it would be awesome, but pretty pricey too, so we shall see.

Birthday and Fashion
I had an awesome birthday week! I appreciate all the calls/texts/cards. My family (and friends) ROCK!!! I told Jeremy not to buy me anything this year since obviously our BIG present to each other is our house, but he (and the boys) surprised me on my birthday anyway.
They gave me the Ed Hardy Roller Ball set and they all smell AMAZING!!! I already had the original scent and I wear it ALL the time so Jeremy thought I would like the whole collection, and he was right! I love these little surprises.
A friend of mine had thrown a Mary Kay facial party a few weeks back and I decided to get a few things as my present to myself. I rarely spend money on make-up and stuff like that, and when I do it's the cheap kind. But I'm not getting any younger (HA!) and really need to start taking care of my skin. And they made it just in time for my birthday. :) I'm in HEAVEN!!! This stuff is AWESOME!!!
And this little monkey CRACKS ME UP!!! He still insists on dressing himself and we just never really know what to expect from him. He definitely keeps us entertained!

House Progression #4
All I can say is HOLY TOLEDO!!! We went from a slab of concrete Sunday night to this:
At one point they had 16 guys out there working on it. They were putting the shingles on today and the windows should be in by the end of this week. I can't believe how fast this is all going.

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch
We visited our local "pumpkin patch" today too. We usually get so busy with football and life that I end up bringing store-bought pumpkins home for the boys, but this year, we had no excuses. I wanted to go to a REAL pumpkin patch, but this one worked just as well.
The boys picked out their pumpkins and we picked up a pumpkin carving kit for Daddy at Wally-World! I can't wait to see what crazy designs they come up with this year!
Now we're getting ready to go out for my Birthday dinner tonight! I chose Mexican food. Big Surprise!!! We haven't ate out (at a restaurant) in over a month now, and my mouth is already watering!

House Progression #3
We have a slab!!! It kind of feels official now!!! Only 14 more weeks!!! We're just giddy with excitement!!! The builder said the house should be framed out, walls up and windows in by the end of next week. Holy Moley, I can't wait to see it come together.
The last picture is a view from the street. We'll have a pretty decent size front yard too. Poor Jeremy, him and the mower will be best buddies! Ha!

Fall Festivities
Fall is here and all the Fall festivities are in full swing! I absolutely love this time of the year!!! For me, Fall/Halloween marks the beginning of the Holiday Season and before we know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas are here!!! But I'll admit, I'm a little distressed this year that I'm not able to decorate. Oh well, next year I'll go Fall-Crazy to make up for it.
I took the boys to Wal-Mart this morning with hopes that we'd have better luck there and find some Halloween costumes for them. Houston hit the jack-pot and found himself a super-cool Hulk Hogan costume (that is to die for). He begged and begged and wanted a gangster costume but he was on cloud nine (and I was relieved) when we found this one.
I took them to a Fall Festival at a local church just down the street from my work. They had a blast. We were there for over three hours!!! They really went all out and had lots of fun entertainment for the kiddos.
They had the normal carnival style games...fishing, shooting hoops, bobbing for apples, etc...But they also had a small haunted house, cake walk, and several other contests.
Houston won a confetti cake during the cake walk. He actually won the first three times, but we only wanted/needed one cake. They were just playing for fun.
They had a costume contest, coloring contest, hula hoop contest and pumpkin decorating contest. We only stayed for the costume contest and coloring contest though.
Of course, both boys loved the coloring part since they've both been so into coloring lately. And, they both WON for their age groups! Houston won two meal passes for Cici's and Austin won two passes to the movies. Score!!! They were both super-excited!
They served concession-style food there so the boys ate hot dogs and caramel apples.
All-in-all the boys had a fun-filled day. It sure beats setting at home watching TV or working. They were showing the movie Hocus Pocus and we had planned to stay and watch that too, but we were pooped!
And lastly, Houston won the costume contest!!! His prize was the Shrek Halloween movie, so they pretty much cleaned up on the prizes!!!
We're gonna hit another Fall Festival next weekend at a church just down the street from our apartments and then the big Fall Fest that the school puts on is the following weekend. We can't wait!!! Have I mentioned how much I ADORE this time of the year?

It's Raining...It's Pouring...
The Old Man Is Snoring. Ha! Praise Jesus for the rain!!! It rained pretty much all weekend long, and it was very refreshing. But with the rain, comes the mosquitoes and the boys got ate from head to toe! Poor Monkeys! I think I used an entire bottle of calamine lotion.
We spent the early part of Sunday cleaning house and helping Houston study. We make it a family event and even Austin helps Houston study and learn his letters and words. Houston now knows ALL his letters, lower case and capital, and we're now working on writing them down as we call them out to him and he's pretty much got that down too! YAY Houston!!!
Although he doesn't look too happy, Austin actually asked to help. He just doesn't like his picture being taken...just like his daddy! He helped him with his sight words too. Such a good big brother.
Houston is an absolute mess. He is so head strong these days and refuses to let me dress him anymore. He flips his wig if he doesn't get to pick out his outfits each day. He says this ensemble totally matches because they both have white in them. Ha! I love that monkey!
Let's just forget about the fact that he's got a St. Patty's day green and white shirt paired with 4th of July red/white/blue shorts. At least they both have white!
We did a little shopping Sunday afternoon and finally decided to check out our Ghetto mall...and ghetto it is. The mall has a Macy's, JcPenney's, Sears, Marshall's and about 10 regular "mall stores" but for the most part it is mom-and-pop stores. It looks like we'll be travelling to the Galleria for our shopping! Our plan was to look for Halloween costumes but we had ZERO luck.
I went a little drastic with my hair this time. I decided I wanted something totally new and different. Success! I love the color, I'm just not sure I love it on me. But it's growing on me. :) It's called Deep Burgundy.
Since it was raining cats and dogs, we decided to have a movie night Sunday night. The boys didn't have school today so we had an excuse to stay up a little late. We watched Transformers 3 and Fast Five. I loved them both!!!
I was so wound up after watching two action-packed movies that by the time I finally made it to bed, I wasn't tired at all. I ended up watching I Am Number Four (another pretty good movie) and didn't go to sleep until almost 2:30 a.m. Needless to say, I was pretty much dragging today.
The little one just couldn't hold on any longer. So super cute and sweet. We call him our human blanket. He sleeps so hot we just lay him on top of us and he's like our own little heating blanket.

I love it when they can't talk back....
or fight with each other, or complain or throw fits...
But really I just plain love these two monkeys! And yes, they both sleep with their mouths open, just like their momma. Jeremy call us mouth-breathers! Ha!
Happy Fall Ya'll!!!
This week felt like it flew by! I had to work 6 days this week, but I had 3 half-days so it was actually pretty nice. :) I've had a few days off during the week since the boys started school, and although I thought I would really enjoy the me time (and I do), I really missed those monkeys too. It's gets pretty boring without their constant chatter.
Austin got his report card for the first six weeks and he did AWESOME!!! I had heard that the grading at Barbers Hill is pretty strict and while I wasn't really worried about him making all A's, I wondered if he would have border-line A's. The little smarty-pants surpassed my expectations and his lowest grade was a 94!
Houston has been really in to coloring lately, and we've spent many nights the last few weeks coloring with each other. I adore these times!!! I need to get better at taking pictures of Austin too, but he is NEVER home! The child lives outdoors, which is perfect since I don't want him at home playing video games or on his iPod 24-7!
We all went to the Homecoming game last night. It's starting to get a little chilly at night here and I love it! I LOVE this time of the year!!! The boys both took a friend and of course, Houston chose Landen! The Eagle won!!! I'm sad that football season is already half-way finished.
I had to work this morning for a few hours but then I had a early birthday present pampering day. I got my hair cut (finally). It's always a bit unnevering looking for a new hairstylist but I think I found a winner. I love my new hair do and can't wait to dye it tonight! I also met up with a few girlfriends tonight for Mary Kay facials. We had a blast and Jeremy loved my make-up so that's always a plus!
We hope all is well!

Crazy Day and Fun Crafts
I bought some cool brown vinyl a few weeks ago with plans of using it with my Cricut. I had seen on a few crafts sites some awesome ways to "dress up" items in your house so I decided to finally try it out this weekend.
I chose to make a basic W with some fancy decorations. I love how it turned out. I cannot wait to make more things. It looks like I'll be making a trip to Hobby Lobby soon to look for more Cricut cartridges. I need a Fleur de lis one!!!
I also found some cool new jewelry. The picture is a little blurry but its a football shaped ring with royal blue diamonds, Texas A&M pendent, and an Eagles pendent. Thankfully Barbers Hill Eagles are royal blue too so I can still use all of my Weatherford jewelry and accessories. Score! The pendents are a little too small for my taste so I'll definitely be looking for larger pieces to stack them on but they are super cute and only $6. I'd say that's a steal! She takes special orders so I had to order an A&M ring too!
We have homecoming this Friday and Houston's school has Spirit Week all week long. Each day they have a different theme for dressing. Today was Crazy Day and crazy he was!
He wore a red and black Nike shirt, navy blue shorts, and tall hot pink socks! He looked adorable!!! We also hawked out his hair! Super super cute!!! We're going to have so much fun this week being creative!

A Package from Mimi and PaPa
The boys received a gift package from Mimi and PaPa in the mail this weekend.
They were super excited!!! I love seeing them laugh and smile! It warms my heart.
They usually get cards with money from Poppa and Mimi and PaPa so this was an new treat for them.
You could see the excitement on their little faces. Houston's reaction says it all!
They got a new DVD...Spooky Buddies and they each got a cool notepad and pin.
Houston couldn't wait to try his new notepad out!
Thank you Mimi and PaPa! We love you and miss you bunches.
