Our little family had the best day today. It was overcast and a little drizzly so we decided it was the perfect day to visit the beach. And it was.
We knew we only wanted to dip our toes in the water and save swimming with the fishes for another trip, and it was awesome.
The boys had never seen the ocean before much less played in it and they both loved it. I loved it too. It was the perfect weather.
We ate at The Brick House. It faces the sea wall and we had the most amazing view. And the most yummy Cajun french fries and garlic Parmesan tator-tots! There are so many new restaurants in Galveston and we can't wait to try them all.
Then we headed to ride the ferry. This was also a first for us and I think I was more excited than anyone. We couldn't even tell when the ferry was moving but I did get a little dizzy (sea-sick) when I watched the structures in the background as we passed. It was pretty crazy. I kept asking Jeremy if we were moving or if they were. Ha!
The boys took some bread and fed the seagulls. They pretty much attacked us! Thankfully, no one got poop-hair though.
I thought the ferry was amazing. A little claustrophobic for some, but awesome. Jeremy put the truck in 4 wheel drive because is his words "I'm not have that scene from double jeopardy happen to us." He's a mess!
Now we're back home watching some Fighting Texas Aggie football and eating some pizza.
I have to share a cute conversation I had with Houston today:
Houston: "Mom can you make omelette's for breakfast tomorrow"
Me: "We'll see."
Houston: "No see's please."
I love that little man! Both of my boys are pretty special and make my day, every day!
XOXO,
Stacy
