I've been MIA lately and I apologize. Our house is now 90% complete with us only lacking the landscape, driveway, and Jeremy's shop. Hallelujah! This has been an amazing blessing but it's also been a bit overwhelming and trying at times too. I'm so glad it's almost over and we can start our new life in our new home.
Some of these photos are out of order but I'm just too exhausted to correct them...
Our appliances were put in on Friday and I already LOVE them. We have the separate stove top and oven and I just think it makes my kitchen look so fancy. Ha!
We decided to dress up the inside of the house by adding some rock accents to the bar and fireplace. It totally goes with our rustic motif.
We also added the Texas star coach lights. We have these on our front porch, garage, and the car port extension for the shop.
And we added another Texas accent with this tile. I adore it, but Jeremy is still not sure. I need to take an updated picture to get the full effect as this one was taken the day they layed it.
Jeremy's friend came down one weekend and basically worked sun-up to sun-down making us some awesome built-in's. We can never thank him enough. I casually mentioned that I would love to have a mud room piece for the boys back-packs and shoes once we moved in and he surprised me with this. LOVE!!! We're going to paint it (possibly olive green) once we move in.
He also made us this awesome built-in in the living room. The bottom part will have doors and the top part has adjustable shelves. We're having this stained the same color as our cabinets. I'll use the top section to display my crystal since we won't have room for my china cabinet/hutch. :(
A full view of the kitchen showing off our new appliances. We went with stainless steel and I think it looks awesome. We also bought a stainless steel pot rack to hang above the island.
More appliances...
Jeremy's friend also replaced the ugly white mantle with this custom cedar one which is much more our style. He made custom built-in's for the boys rooms for their electronic stuff and built a cabinet to go above the toilet in their bathroom. We had crown molding in some of the main rooms already, but he added it to the remainder of the house. Needless to say, he was very busy that weekend!
Our front door...
Dishwasher...
We hung our mirrors this weekend too. We opted to buy framed mirrors instead of the normal flat ones and I couldn't be happier. This is the master bathroom, but we hung the framed mirrors in all three bathrooms. I plan to put some type of floral arrangement between the sinks.
That's all for now.
XOXO,
Stacy
Need more pictures of the house with all the stuff in it.
