Before we started this building process, I had a "wish list" of things I wanted or would love to have for our new house. Now that we're finally in the midst of it, I find that my wish list is actually coming true.
I am having an absolute blast designing our new home. When Jeremy and I were engaged, I never imagined we would ever build one home, much less two. It's amazing what God has blessed us with. We could never thank Him enough.
We make our final selections on Tuesday. EEK! I still don't know what color cabinets I want. I would love to have Knotty-Oak, but we would also love to be able to feed the boys for the next four months too. Ha! I know we'll go with dark, but other than that it's a toss-up. Looks like another trip to Lowes awaits us this weekend.
I want to totally re-do everything...new furniture, bedding, everything. Brand new stuff for our brand new home. I'm trying to buy a little with each paycheck and I finally feel like I'm making some progress. What a relief.
I bought Houston's bedding last weekend and I absolutely love it. I've looked for what seemed like an eternity for something I liked, but never had any luck. I finally found this at Bed Bath & Beyond and I was able to match it with a 20% off coupon. Score!!! It's the full bedroom set...13 pieces for just a little over $100 with my coupon. I love saving money!
I picked up a few decorative pieces at Hobby Lobby too. I'm a little obsessed with that store but I only buy the items that are on sale, and you can't beat Hobby Lobby's sale prices. These two were 50% off and I paid just under $10 each. Woot Woot!
Apparently I also have a little obsession with Fleur de lis' too. Our house will be saturated with them, but they're just so darn pretty!
And after three years in a duplex rent house and another 6 months in this apartment, I finally get to decorate with vinyl wall art. I CAN'T WAIT!!! I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the actual house or this. I love me some wall art.
I had already bought our bedding earlier this year and I knew I wanted to match it with these cute fluffy brown pillows, but they were $19.99 and momma couldn't do that. I found them on clearance at Target this week for $10.98. Sold!
We've made a list of everything we need/want and since we're in no hurry we're just waiting for things to go on sale. Of course that means weekly trips to stores to look for sales but that's just another chance for me to browse for new ideas. I can't wait!
XOXO,
Stacy
